In 2014, Playboi C and D Boy G released a J-Star Beats produced track titled "Water Whip". This record went on to receive great feedback and generate attention for both the lead artist and featured artist. There were a few requests for changes to be made to the track that would take it over the top. Playboi C took his time to explore other releases, take his show on the road, and to build more relationships.
